Genesis 4 takes us from the first family to the first murder, and it asks a question all of us have to answer: how do we relate to God now that the world is broken? Cain shows us what it looks like to give God less than our best, to brush past his warnings and to bury our sin. Yet even in the darkest chapter of the human story so far, God’s grace keeps breaking through.
