King Solomon had everything money could buy, and still called it all meaningless, a chasing after the wind. In John 6 Jesus meets a crowd looking for another free meal and offers them something far better: himself. He is the bread of life, the only one who can satisfy our deepest hunger and sustain us in this life and the next.
