We all know the world is broken. In Genesis 3 God spells out exactly what sin has done to it: relationships fractured by fear, shame and blame, life made painful from the cradle to the grave, and a widening distance between us and God. Yet even as God reads out the charges, he promises a seed of the woman who will crush the serpent’s head, so there is real hope for us beyond sin and death.
