Partner with us
God grows his church through ordinary people offering what they have: time, money, gifts and prayer. Here is how you can partner with us in the work of the gospel at Blackburn Presbyterian Church.
Serve
Here at BPC we believe in every member ministry, where God's people uses their gifts and resources to build His Kingdom. We each have a vital role to play in His work. Some of the ways you can serve include:
- Music team: singing, an another instrument, helping lead the congregation in songs of praise.
- Welcoming team: greeting people as they arrive, helping visitors feel at home.
- Sunday school team: (launching soon): teaching God's word to children during the service.
- Morning tea: setting up, making coffee, packing down. Hospitality matters.
- AV and tech: running slides, sound, and the livestream.
- Evangelism: sharing the good news of Jesus with others, hosting evangelistic events.
Not sure where you fit? Email Mitch (mitchamoah@blackburnpc.org.au) and we will help you find a way to serve that uses your gifts.
Support financially
Giving is one way we can contribute to the work of the gospel, out of gratitude for what God has done for us in Christ. Every dollar given to BPC goes towards proclaiming the gospel, caring for God's people, and reaching our community.
You can give as a one-off or set up regular giving. For details on how, visit our Giving page.
We do not believe anyone should give out of guilt or pressure. Give cheerfully, as God enables (2 Corinthians 9:7).
Become a member
Membership at BPC is the way we say to one another, "I am committing myself to this local church family, to follow Christ alongside you, under the care of these elders".
Members at BPC are people who:
- have trusted in Jesus Christ for their salvation;
- have been baptised;
- have spoken with Mitch and the elders about their faith;
- have made public vows of membership during a Sunday service.
If you have been coming for a while and you are wondering what is next, the best place to start is a conversation. Email Mitch (mitchamoah@blackburnpc.org.au) and we will set a time to talk.
Ready to take a next step?
Whatever it looks like for you, serving, supporting, joining, we would love to hear from you.
